“God loves children. We love God!” This was the theme of The Lighthouse’s Chinese Ministry’s Children’s Summer Camp 2015, which took place Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout July this summer.
We had 71 beautiful amazing children joined our camp this year [although we wished we could have had the capacity to welcome more as we had more children on our waiting list]. It was our joy to welcome each precious child whom God had prepared and sent to be with us. Truly it was a blessing to witness them learn God’s love each day through singing, Bible lessons, new friendships, eating and playing together, and everything we could share during the given time. Many children responded to the Message of Christ throughout the camp. We praise God for such a God-given blessed camp with the help and leadership of amazing volunteers who truly loved the children and made the camp a huge success. I pray that, as we continue to partner with the local church, the impact that these children received through the camp will last not only for the summer of this year but for the rest of their lives.
Thank you so much sincerely to all who supported the summer camp this year. We could not have done it without your support and prayer! The increased number of the recent immigrants in the community, we have felt the massive urgent needs to reach out those who are new and vulnerable in the community. Please do continue to keep us in your prayers as we partner with you to serve the community together. We are confident that God who began His work in the community will carry it on!
