This year, The Lighthouse’s Chinese Christmas Celebration shared the Good New of Jesus Christ with 119 people at Calvary Logos Baptist Church in Scarborough. There was drums and dance, a song presentation by the choir and a moving gospel message. It was a festive evening of full of food, sharing and fellowship for all.

This year, the Chinese Ministry’s Children Summer Camp focused on the Fruit of the Holy Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. On Wednesday March 23, the ESL class in Scarborough enjoyed a wonderful Easter Celebration. There was a time of worship and teaching about the good news of Jesus Christ. The time together was concluded with a delicious homemade lunch.

A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of accompanying Rita and a few of the ESL students on one of the TTC outings designed to help newcomers get acquainted with the city, and learn to access public transit. On October 2nd, the Scarborough ESL class went on an apple picking excursion to Dixie Orchards in Caledon. There were over 30 participants with 3 helpers on this trip. It was a fun and educational experience for all.
