Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteers are an essential part of the work that happens at The Lighthouse.  Many of our programs would not happen without the dedication and skills of our volunteers.  We work together to build community and offer respect and hospitality.

Volunteering at The Lighthouse gives you the opportunity to:

  • meet new people and build community connections
  • improve language and communication skills
  • contribute to your community
  • develop new skills

Volunteering in Fundraising

Every year, The Lighthouse has a telephone campaign (in May) and a fundraising dinner and silent auction (in November).  Other events are often planned throughout the year.  The Lighthouse relies on volunteers to carry out these endeavours.  If you wish to participate in these fundraising activities, please contact The Lighthouse’s Executive Director, Rob Datema by email at [email protected]
