A big thank you to Toronto District Christian High School During this week’s foodbank, student volunteers from TDCH helped serve those in need! The two student volunteer teams from TDCH engaged with food bank clients, practiced safe food handling, and sorted donations! The Vietnamese family camp ran at a smaller scale this year. In the mornings, the children were led through a Vacation Bible School style bible lessons and activities, while the parents got together with Thuy, our Vietnamese counselor and program coordinator, to talk about parenting. The Hispanic family camp had another successful week this summer. Art therapy and “play as therapy” was incorporated into the camp in such a way that the mothers and their children could receive the benefit of playing and creating together.
